Several cultivars of pawpaw were advertised in early nursery catalogs. Many of these have since been lost. Other names that appear in the literature are 鈥渟uperior鈥� trees found in individuals鈥� yards. Usually these have been distributed among very few persons. The author has assembled 62 cultivar names from the literature (Table 3). Today, only a few are commercially available and are typically sold in limited quantities (see Appendix for suppliers).
